Paolo Ciabatti’s carreer starts in 1981 as PR & Press Office Director for the Italian SAAB and Mazda’s Representative located in Torino. In 1989 he became Sales Director and in 1992 Sales and Marketing Director for Mazda.
In 1997, Paolo shifted his professional expertises from the automobile to the motorcycle field. He moved to Borgo Panigale (Bologna): for the first two years, he covered the position of Maketing Director of Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A and in 1999 he became Commercial and Communications Director for Ducati Corse, a branch of the Ducati Factory, the iconic and legendary brand worldwide renowed that on the track has amassed a string of World Superbike Championships unprecedented in the history of motorcycle racing.

For a decade Paolo helped run Ducati's Superbike team, through the glory years of Fogarty, Bayliss, Hodgson and Toseland helping to cement Ducati as a world power in Superbike racing and, in March 2007, Paolo Ciabatti becomes General Manager Infront Motorsport, playing a very important role in the WSBK series, becoming one of the most powerful men in global motorcycle racing. No coincidence that at the end of 2012, he has been appointed the new Ducati MotoGP Project Director. So Paolo, at the 2013 beginning, gets back to the Borgo Panigale headquarters in Bologna which takes advantage of his extensive experience in the world of motorcycle competition, entrusting him on the coordinating of World Superbike Championship.
